DTE Energy Names Paula Silver to Senior Vice President Position
New assignment adds Public Affairs and DTE Energy Foundation to her responsibilities
DETROIT, March 31, 2022 – DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) today announced Paula Silver, vice president, Corporate Communications, is promoted to senior vice president. In this new, expanded role, Silver will have oversight of DTE’s Public Affairs team and the company’s philanthropic Foundation, while continuing to lead the corporate communications team, managing DTE’s internal communications, media relations, customer communications and advertising.
Lynette Dowler, vice president of Public Affairs and the DTE Energy Foundation, will report to Silver following the retirement of Dave Meador, vice chairman and chief administrative officer. Dowler and her team will continue to oversee the day-to-day responsibility for the Foundation.

Since her arrival at DTE in 2015, Silver’s communications team has received numerous awards including a national Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Silver Quill regional awards from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), a Television Academy Emmy, multiple DAVEY awards from the Academy of Interactive Visual Arts, and ADDYS from the American Advertising Federation.

Silver, of Huntington Woods, joined DTE Energy from Federal-Mogul Corp., where she was vice president of communications and investor relations. She also served as vice president of communications and public relations for Quicken Loans/Rock Ventures.
Silver earned a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Wayne State University in Detroit and has several executive certificates from the University of Michigan. She is a board member of The Detroit Institute of Arts, The Parade Company, Detroit Public Television (DPTV) and the American Heart Association. She also sits on Wayne State University’s Board of Volunteers for the College of Fine, Performing and Communications Arts and is a member of PRSA and IABC.
